Q: What is a diaper cake?
A: A diaper cake is a clever, impressive, practical and unique baby shower gift, perfect for every new or expectant mom. It is a tower of individually rolled or wrapped disposable diapers arranged to look like a cake, with lots of useful baby care items decorating the cake. Our diaper cakes make crowd-pleasing baby shower centerpieces - put a 4-tier cake on the gift table and a matching mini diaper cake on each guest table and listen to the ooohs and aaahs. Our baby diaper cakes make great baby shower games as well - have participants guess how many diapers and what goodies are on the the cake (see below for more details.)
Q: What kind of diapers do you use to make your diaper cakes?
A: We use premium Pampers Swaddlers size 1 disposable diapers in most of our diaper cakes - Pampers Swaddlers because they are the best you can buy, and size 1 because they fit up to 14 lbs. This gives the expectant parents the option to enjoy the baby diaper cake for a little longer before they have to take it apart. Our EcoFriendly diaper cakes are constructed with Seventh Generation chlorine-free disposables, size 1.
Q: Are the diapers glued together?
A: No. Our method for constructing diaper cakes is very secure, and every cake is guaranteed not to fall apart during shipping (see return policy below.) At the same time, our cakes are designed to be easily dismantled, and all the diapers and supplies can be used.
Q: What is a Diaper Sampler?
A: When you choose the Diaper Sampler, your baby diaper cake will be constructed with Pampers, Huggies, & Luvs diapers, allowing mom to sample all three leading brands of diapers and choose her favorite, saving her time and money! Each diaper is clearly marked with its name brand and size, so mom can tell the difference. First-time moms LOVE this option!
Q: Are your diaper cakes pre-made?
A: Our baby diaper cakes are handmade from scratch when you order. Since each one is an original and some items are subject to availability, sometimes they vary slightly from the picture. Consistency is a high priority, but if we must make a substitution, it will be of equal or greater value.
Q: Do you offer diaper cake instructions?
A: Forget about hassling with how to make a diaper cake. Instead, make a diaper cake of your own using one of our plain diaper cake bases. You can give the cake your own special touches, and you get the confidence of the professional quality headstart you get from using one of our Do-It-Yourself Diaper Cakes - your diaper cake project is sure to turn out just the way you've imagined it.
Q: Is your website and checkout process secure?
A: YES. We employ industry standard 225 bit secure socket layer encryption to protect your personal information. We NEVER send unsolicited emails or share your information with ANY third party. We hate SPAM as much as you do!!
Q: How long will it take my diaper cake to arrive?
A: Please allow up to 2 business days for your diaper cake to be constructed. You will receive an email when we receive your order, and another when your diaper cake ships. Diaper cakes ship from New York, NY, via FedEx Ground and take 1-7 business days to arrive (from the day we ship them) depending on your location (see a map of estimated shipping times.) Cakes that ship to an address within the state of New York will be charged 8.125% sales tax. Orders that ship to a PO Box or an APO/FPO address will be shipped via US Mail and shipping time is not guaranteed.
Q. What if I need my baby diaper cake shipped ASAP?!
A: For a small fee, you can add Expedited Handling or Express Shipping to your order. Expedited Handling gets your diaper cake created and shipped the next business day via FedEx Ground. Express Shipping gets your diaper cake created first and shipped the next business day via US Express Mail (overnight to most locations.)
Q. How can I check the status of my order?
A. Click the 'ORDER TRACKING' link at the left of any page, and enter your 7-digit order ID # and your email address. You will be able to view all the details of your order, including Billing and Shipping addresses, and find out whether your diaper cake has shipped.
Q. I live in New York. Can I pick up my baby diaper cake to save on shipping?
A. We prefer to ship your diaper cake to you. Most of New York is a 1-day shipping zone and your diaper cake should arrive the day after we ship it out. Considering the price of fuel, you will probably save $$ by letting FedEx do the driving!
Q: Can my diaper cake be gift-wrapped?
A: All our baby diaper cakes arrive gift-wrapped in beautiful white tulle with a coordinating bow. There is no extra charge for this service. There is a link below the description of each diaper cake that will allow you to view a picture of a gift-wrapped cake.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. If you would like to pay by cashier's check, money order, company check, or personal check, contact us for mailing instructions. Orders paid for by cashier's check or money order will be filled as soon as payment is received. Please allow 7-10 business days after we receive your company or personal check for your order to be filled, as your cake will not be constructed until your check clears. Dishonored checks will be assessed a $25 returned check fee.
Q: What is your return/refund policy?
A: All Diaper Cakewalk diaper cakes are backed by our Worry-Free Guarantee. Your diaper cake will be professionally constructed by human hands. Your diaper cake will be shipped using the most professional method in the industry. Your diaper cake will arrive at your door looking fantastic. Your gift recipient will adore it. In the unlikely event that you don't agree with these statements, you have 30 days from the purchase date to return your diaper cake for a refund of your purchase price, less shipping. Just contact us for instructions on how to return your diaper cake. We cannot be responsible for being sure your order arrives by a certain date. Please contact us before ordering so that we can assist you in estimating your diaper cake's arrival date. Expedited Handling and Express Shipping fees are not refundable.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: You may cancel your order up until the moment it ships out. Once your diaper cake has been shipped your order cannot be canceled, but your order is covered by our guarantee. If you need to cancel your order, please contact us via email ASAP.
